The RaceSaver 305 spec head and accompanying engine and car rules are the very foundation of our Renegade Sprint Car Class.
These sensible and logical rules have enabled this class to grow from 8 cars, the first night of racing in 2002, to up to 24+ cars every night of racing today. These rules are intended to make our sprint car class AFFORDABLE and FUN.
As you read through the rules, keep in mind they are designed to SAVE YOU MONEY and help you, and everyone else in the class, be competitive and have fun racing.
We can't keep racers from spending money, but we can try to keep that money from buying a significant advantage.

The final A-Main of the night would belong to the Renegade Sprint Car Series with the championship on the line. Starting ninth, tenth, and eleventh Dylan Harris, Lorne Wofford, and Royal Jones were the cars to watch. To the green, the 11 of Mike Stringfield would show the way with Curt Barnett in tow.
Running away from the field, the 11 and the 43 were a straight-a-way ahead in no time at all as the battle for third was between the 25c of Lamar Skarda and the 27 of Cesar Fuentes. Back to the battle for the championship and Lorne Wofford leading the charge with Dylan Harris trying to shake Royal Jones who ran right on his back bumper just outside the top ten.
As the 48 and the 131 battled the fight for fifth was between John Carney and Wes Wofford with Wofford taking the spot for a moment as Carney went for the slide job; causing the field to slam on the brakes on the high line and allowing Colt Treharn to pick up three spots in a single shot before the caution waved as Carney and Lorne Wofford came together.
Back underway the green would be short lived as the caution waved for the spun 98 of Jerry Gonzales. Getting warned for jumping the start, the 48 and the 18 would restart perfectly as the 131 lined up behind the 86 of Patton with the 48 of Harris right next to him. Not wanting to get held up by either driver, Jones would let both drivers to the high line; going low and getting by both drivers on the restart. After having to go to the back of the running order, the 18 of Wofford was back in the battle as Harris, Jones, and Wofford ran nose to tail.
As the three drivers battled the fight for the lead would see the 19 of Wes Wofford pull of a textbook slide job and simply pull away. With fewer than 10 laps to go and the 19 had a huge advantage but the caution was wave with 9 laps to run. Back to green and Harris would restart just in front of the 131; needing to get two more spots to win the championship.
Restarting fifth and sixth, the fight was on as the 18 of Lorne Wofford, after looking like he was out of the fight was right back in the mix. Side by side, the 131 would take away fifth from Harris as up front the 19 of Wes Wofford was on a rail but was not along as the 27 of Cesar Fuentes ran down Harris but was not able to get the pass.
Showing Wofford the faster line, the 19 would adjust down the track to hold the lead and secure the win. Cesar Fuentes, Colt Treharn, Royal Jones, and Dylan Harris rounded out the top five. Finishing out just in front of Harris, the 131 of Royal Jones would secure the 2011 Sprint Car Championship as Wes Wofford took the overall Renegade Sprint Car Series Championship.

The Renegade Sprint Car Series hit the track for twenty laps of racing with the 52 of Aaron Quijano taking the early race lead. On the move through the field, the 18 of Lorne Wofford and 19 of Wes Wofford would work their way into the top five from their fourth row starting spots.
Still picking their way up the lineup, the 131 of Royal Jones, from ninth, would go to work on the 45x of Derek DeMartino for fifth as the caution waved for what could have been a very bad crash as second running Tyler Jackson spun in the middle of the track with 15 laps to go; nearly collecting the 19 of Wofford.
Able to slow the car enough to merely tap the 2 of Jackson, Wofford was able to keep the car moving to avoid having to be re-fired. Lining up with both Wofford cars on his back bumper, Quijano would get up to speed but could not hold off the hard changing 18 of Lorne Wofford. All the way in the high side and flying, Wofford would run away in a hurry as the action heated up back in the field between the 27 of Fuentes and 131 of Royal Jones.
Plowing into the back bumper of the 131, Fuentes would walk a fine line nearly turning Jones around through turns one and two. Pushing both cars nearly off the track, the inside line was wide open for the 8 of John Carney II but just Carney went for the pass mechanical problems would sideline the 8 as something had come loose and deposited itself on the track and forcing the caution.
Back to green and Wofford again would set sail on the high line but the car on the move was Dylan Harris. After his car was destroyed the night before at the El Paso Speedway Park; Harris would charge from last to fifth and was not done there as the 1m worked on 27 of Cesar Fuentes for fourth but not before the Fuentes and Jones began exchanging slide jobs for third.
Slide after slide, the 131 would finally gain the advantage. Into the closing laps, slower traffic would begin to alter the storyline for some but not for Lorne Wofford as the 18 split in and out of cars on his way to his sixth checkered flag of the season. Wes Wofford, Royal Jones, Dylan Harris, and Cesar Fuentes would round out the top five.

The Renegade Sprint Car Series took the green for their final 25 laps of the season with the 52 of Aaron Quijano jumping to the early race lead with the 43 of Curt Barnett giving chase.
Working into the top five, the 1m of Dylan Harris would go to work on the 21 of Brandon Schure for fourth but a bobble on the part of the 1m would give the spot to the 8 of John Carney II. To sixteen laps to run, the 52 of Quijano would begin to pull into slower traffic with Barnett getting a golden opportunity as the 52 would get held up behind a slower car; allowing the 43 to pull even for the race lead on the high side but just as Barnett looked like he was going to be the leader, the bottom grove opened up and Quijano was able race back into the lead.
Moving into fourth, the 8 of Carney II would begin working on running down the 98 of Jerry Gonzales for third with the 18 of Lone Wofford shadowing the 8 into fifth before the red flag waved for JR Patton after contact with a slower car sent the 86 flipping. Restarting eleven laps to run, the 18 of Wofford would see his night come to an end with a flat right rear tire as the car on the move was the 1m of Dylan Harris and the 77 of Colt Treharn.
Running third and fourth, both drivers would work on running down Barnett for second. Taking his shot at the 43, Harris would kick the car sideways allowing the 8 of Carney to make his way by. Getting back up to speed, Harris this time would go for the pass on Carney but contact with the left rear on the 8 would send the 1m spinning and eventually onto his side; forcing the red flag.
A light roll for Dylan Harris would allow the 1m to restart at the tail end of the field. Back to green with five laps to go, the 8 of Carney would go to work on the 43 of Barnett for second.
Fighting side by side the 8 would finally get the pass as the field raced to two laps to go but with almost a half straight-a-way disadvantage in the closing laps, the 52 of Aaron Quijano would take his first A-Main victory with the Sprint Cars. John Carney II, Curt Barnett, Jerry Gonzales, and Wes Wofford rounded out the top five. With his fifth place finish, Wofford was crowned the 2011 Speedway Park Sprint Car Champion.

The Renegade Sprint Car Series hit the track for thirty laps with the 27 of Cesar Fuentes jumping out to the race lead from outside the front row. Side by side and three wide to open things up, the cars on the move were the 8 of John Carney II and the 19 of Wes Wofford. Side by side, it would be the 8 of Carney making his way into the top five as upfront the fight for second was on.
Building his momentum, the 18 of Lorne Wofford would look for the runner up spot but would not have enough momentum to pull off the pass on the 25c of Lamar Skarda. Instead, the 18 would make contact with Skarda’s left rear tire; looping Wofford around and forcing the caution. Back to green with 26 laps to run, the car on the move was the 8 of John Carney II.
Taking second on the restart from fourth, the 8 would have to run down Fuentes as the fight for third was between the 21 of Brandon Schure and the 19 of Wes Wofford. Working to the back bumper of the 27, Carney would dive to the bottom of the track before throwing the car up the track to pull off the slide job.
As the 8 began to pull away, the battle on the track as for third through sixth as the 21 of Schure and the 1m of Dylan Harris battled for fourth with both drivers stalking the 19 of Wes Wofford as all three cars were being pursued by the 9k of Kyle Sager. Holding third the 19 of Wofford worked relentlessly in and out of slower traffic trying to run down the 27 of Fuentes as everyone continued to chase the 8 of Carney II.
Working past the halfway point, the 18 of Lorne Wofford, after causing a yellow early on, was hustling his way through the running order. Working back into the top ten, a caution for the 2 of Tyler Jackson would bring the field into the Delaware Double File Restart; allowing Wofford a chance to gain in the running order with ten laps to go but the green would be short lived as the red flag waved for the 131 of Royal Jones. Out of his car, Jones would address the crowd with humor on the situation, pointing out that the top wing had lasted him over 8 years.
Rolling again, the field took the green with the 19 of Wes Wofford taking second as the 27 of Fuentes spun but kept the car going. Up to fourth on the restart, the 18 of Lorne Wofford would go to work on the 21 of Brandon Schure. Pulling off the pass with 5 laps to go, the Wofford family now ran second and third as Carney II raced to the white flag only to see the caution wave again for Tyler Jackson. Done for the night, the 2 would pull pit side as the 8 of Carney restarted with Wes and Lorne Wofford right on his back bumper.
Back to the last completed lap, it would be a 2 lap dash to the finish with Wes taking a shot for the lead on the inside line as Lorne followed the 8 of Carney II into turns one and two. Trying to set up for the last lap pass, the 18 would take the shot but come up short as John Carney II took the win. Lorne Wofford would take second with Colt Treharn stealing away third from Wes Wofford in the closing laps as JR Patton rounded out the top five. Post-race inspection would see the 19 roll across the scales light; disqualifying the Alamogordo racer and moving Patton to fourth and Brandon Schure to fifth.
